As a WMS Consultant at Starware, you are the "Jack of all Trades"! You will participate in different tasks related to implementing Blue Yonder Warehouse Management (WM), such as consulting, development, or support.

WHAT ARE OUR WMS CONSULTANTS WORKING ON?

Analysing processes and translating them into real solutions within Blue Yonder WM.
Designing processes and making changes based on customer requirements.
Developing solutions by using (and combining) the standard functionality of Blue Yonder Warehouse Management.
Creating reports, interfaces, and labels.
Identifying problems by using tracing and troubleshooting tools and come up with feasible solutions.
Creating test scenarios for changes or configurations.
Providing continuous support for our clients’ Warehouse Management Systems.

Which skills will come in handy?

Familiarity with logistic terms and concepts.
Experience with consulting, development & support.
Knowledge of Blue Yonder WMS or previous experience with other Warehouse management systems.
Capability to write test scripts and to execute and document tests.
Ability to create configuration setups and changes, as well as to perform key user actions (like processing an inbound/outbound order in a WMS or SCM software).
Depending on the client, we use different coding languages. You would benefit by being able to read and write JAVA, Jasper Reports, SQL, integrator and/or MOCA.
A communicative and solution-oriented work-style with strong analytical skills.
Being a team player and also able to work independently.
For some teams, professional proficiency in German, Dutch or French is a plus.

To provide you with a simple and transparent career growth path at Starware, we have developed an internal structure with 3-4 levels.

During the first months of your journey with Starware as a general Consultant, you aim to form a good base knowledge by learning about our processes, clients and products, and specifically the Blue Yonder WMS. Also, you will be involved in different areas: Analyses, Configuration, Development, Testing & Documenting.

Once you have a solid knowledge of the Blue Yonder WMS and several years of experience in analysis, configuration, development, testing & documenting, you can grow into an advanced WMS Consultant, and later on, specialise in one of the areas.

A junior WMS consultant at Starware is someone who masters the basic programming language features to create and adjust basic interfaces, reports, and screen modules in the Grid (Starware's own software platform).

It’s ok if some advanced programming structures are still unfamiliar. The junior WMS Consultant has a brief knowledge of all supportable systems that Starware is running. Not being able to support all systems in this period is also fine.

Working primarily at well defined and scoped tasks and need the help and coaching of a senior consultant to finish some of their work.

A junior programmer has usually 1-3 years of experience within Starware and the group.

At this level all basic skills need to be build-up: Analyses, Configuration, Development, Testing, Documenting, Coaching & Support tasks, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Monitoring, and Hyper-care support.

An advanced consultant at Starware is fluent in all programming language features to create and adjust interfaces, API, reports, and screen modules of the Grid (Starware's own software platform).

Also, someone who knows all supportable systems in-depth and can work independently on more difficult incidents and problems. Further, actively participates and coaches starters and has a good standing at all customers. The support departments know their name and trust their judgment.

He/she is also able to use basic tracing and troubleshooting tools to identify problems.

An advanced JDA WMS consultant has usually 3-10 years of experience within Starware and the group.

At this level all skills are available: Analyses, Configuration, Development, Testing, Documenting, Coaching & 2nd level Support tasks, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Monitoring and Hyper-care support.

A senior BY analyst has deep substantial expertise in the design and configuration of the BY WMS system.

He/she has been involved as an analyst in multiple large projects in different industries and works independently on more difficult incidents and problems.

It's the go-to person regarding the inner workings of the WMS & has excellent communication and documentation skills.

A senior BY analyst has usually 10+ years of experience within Starware and the group.

A senior BY developer has deep substantial expertise in the solutions for the key accounts that of the team he/she manages.

Someone who is fluent in multiple technical stacks and languages used for WMS Developments and is fully capable of designing, owning, and running entirely new subsystems of the WMS solution.

It's the go-to person for detailed technical advice and complex software issues & a smooth operator for WMS implementations and system support.

A senior BY developer has usually 10+ years of experience within Starware and the group.

A senior BY tester has a wealth of experience in leading the testing part of all configuration and developments.

He/she has detailed knowledge of automated test tools and concepts & can structure and execute all major test streams like the FAT, SIT, UAT, and Regression tests.

Someone who is able to take the customer and team members by the hand to define a development workflow with testing in mind.

A senior BY tester has usually 10+ years of experience within Starware and the group.

The lead for a BY team is the one that is responsible for growing his/her (group of) customers.

He/she spots areas in which we can help to solve new challenges for the customer and is the one with the end-responsibility for the team. It's also someone who knows all the supportable systems in depth.

Furthermore, can work independently on more difficult incidents and problems & actively participates and coaches starters.

The lead usually has 10+ years of experience within Starware and the group and has a good standing at all customers.
