We are proud to introduce a whopping 4 new members to the Starware team! Please allow us to introduce you to Bruno Giovanella & Roger Moreno, who have joined our team in The Netherlands, and Srikanth A & Fabricio A. Vieira who have joined our team in Germany.
Because of our quick growth, we deliberately intended to hire a small team with people with complementary skills and roles. This also required a different approach to our onboarding experience, which was always a one-to-one event. We believe it worked out great to onboard a group at once. There is a different dynamic, it feels more informal and gives everyone a great opportunity to ask questions and learn from each other’s experiences.
To give them the best start possible, we invited the new team to our Gouda office in The Netherlands for a few days last week. They began their journey with a tour of our office, receiving and setting up all their hardware equipment 💻 and of course the traditional Starware welcome package 😉. As not everyone is used to working with Apple hardware in this industry, the first introduction to a new OS is always a great first challenge. After this, we’ll take everyone on a virtual tour through all our core applications and systems. Once set-up, everyone could get a start on our self-paced training program to get into the details of the Blue Yonder Core WMS functionalities.
After a day with so much new information, it was nice to unwind with a great dinner on a terrace in the old city of Gouda together with the local Starware colleagues. When we were about to leave, the world-famous St. Jan Church started to play some classic pop music songs with its impressive carillon. As much as we would like to claim that we arranged this specifically for the occasion it was a matter of pure chance this time 😉.
