Operation Windfall: Licensed to Celebrate Christmas in London 🇬🇧🕵️‍♂️

What do you do when you’ve already explored every corner of the Netherlands for 32 years? You take the show on the road! For our 33rd Christmas celebration, we crossed the channel for our very first international mission: Operation Windfall. With London as our backdrop and James Bond as our inspiration, we traded the polders for the pulse of the city of spies!

The intrigue began the moment we boarded the train. Our first objective? Cracking a high-stakes escape room box while hurtling toward London. But the stakes were raised when we received a frantic transmission: Agents Vijay and John (our dear colleagues) had been kidnapped! Even though they couldn’t be there physically to celebrate their 12.5-year anniversaries, they were with us in spirit (and in danger) as we spent the weekend tracking their trail.

The mission truly “hit the ground” at the station, where suspicious eyes were already watching us (yes, we even hired actors this time!). After a quick stop at the hotel to find secret keys hidden in our rooms, we boarded a classic red double-decker bus to launch our core operation: recovering the lost keys Vijay and John had scattered across the city before their abduction. We navigated the streets, meeting their contacts and passing difficult tests to secure the codes we needed.

Evening fell, and the elegance of Bond met the chaos of British comedy at Fawlty Towers. Between courses, we learned the art of acting like MI6 secret agents! To keep the theme going, we headed to Raffles, the favourite haunt of James Bond’s creator, for some sophisticated drinks before heading off to a legendary afterparty to dance the night away.

The next morning, we tested our wits at Quiz Boxing UK 🥊, facing a flurry of questions on London history, James Bond, and Starware. To wrap up the mission in style, the Bustronome London bus awaited us for a sophisticated lunch with a view, before we headed back to the hotel for the final reveal: identifying the mole among our four contacts, and be able to rescue Vijay and John.

A massive shout-out to G.O.A.T Live helped us organise this incredible game and kept the adrenaline pumping throughout the city!

And of course, a huge shoutout to our photographer Sharleen Mahembe who followed us through both days📸

It was a weekend of high-speed chases (mostly for the train!), deep-cover operations, and incredible memories. A massive thank you to everyone who made our first international Christmas event a “Windfall” of fun. Mission accomplished! 🍸✨
