Starware Christmas Party – Masterchef Edition

Seasons greetings! 🎄 Last week Starware celebrated its annual Xmas Party. If you have been reading us, you might have seen the beautiful Michelin star dinner we had at the PERALADA RESORT castle during our event in September. Everyone loved it so much that we thought to replicate that dinner for our Xmas Party. Unfortunately, we have spent all the budget for events this year, which means… we had to cook dinner ourselves. What can go wrong? 😉

We had nothing to worry about because we had the expert help of Jolanda van Dongen and her team from Betty Blue, who took very good care of us. We contacted them with the (almost) impossible mission to organise a workshop for 70 people in our office. Jolanda helped us develop the idea: a cooking competition in the purest Masterchef style.

We divided our colleagues into teams by letting them pick a custom-made apron. Some of them were “James Fond(ue)”, “Better Call Jolanda”, and “Pulp Kitchen”. Never a dull moment! 😁

We also dressed up Starware’s main office in Gouda with long tables and fairy lights, and hosted the competition in-house.

Besides the great competition and dinner, we asked local wine legend Sarinah Clauwens-Leezer from Wijnhandel Pandora’s Bottle to supply a perfect pairing and a scent workshop that took place during meals.

DJ Johan Draait ensured we had the loveliest background music, and entertainment was ensured thanks to “Rotterdammerts” Beb and Toos, 321Klik photo booth, and great magician Niek Takens.

After dinner, we watched the Netherlands-Argentina game in our specially prepared entertainment room, but we don’t want to talk about that anymore. 😉
